​Viavi Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAV) has officially acquired Inertial Labs, Inc., a leading developer of high-performance orientation, positioning, and navigation solutions for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. The transaction, valued at an initial $150 million with up to $175 million in contingent considerations over four years, was funded through Viavi’s cash reserves. ​
This strategic move is expected to add approximately $50 million to Viavi’s Network and Service Enablement (NSE) annual revenue in 2025 and be accretive to earnings per share within 12 months of closing. By integrating Inertial Labs’ advanced technologies—such as Inertial Measurement Units (IMU), Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), and LiDAR scanning—Viavi aims to expand its footprint in the aerospace, defense, and autonomous systems markets.
This acquisition positions Viavi to leverage Inertial Labs’ expertise, enhancing its offerings and accelerating entry into high-growth markets such as autonomous delivery and transportation systems.
