LEO-Aided Inertial Navigation System (IRINS)
The LEO-Aided Inertial Navigation System (IRINS) is a fully integrated navigation solution combining aiding data from an Iridium Satellite Time and Location (STL) service enabled receiver with a tactical grade MEMS IMU.
The IRINS integrates an STL-2600 receiver, a miniature gyro-compensated fluxgate magnetic compass, an on-board pressure sensor with excellent thermal stability, 3-axis temperature calibrated MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers, and optional onboard ADC.
Utilizing Inertial Labs’ sensor fusion filter, state-of-the-art navigation and guidance algorithms, and calibration software, the IRINS can provide precise Position, Velocity and Attitude measurements in GNSS-denied or contested environments.
With numerous models and configurations, the IRINS can be tailored for various navigation applications in any combination of land, air, or marine domains, and allowing platform integrators to customize their solution based on SWaP-C, performance, and environmental constraints.
